“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.”
Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol

This Saturday, we’re open at the farm from noon to 3 PM!   We’re so excited to have you come out to the farm.  We will have lush, full, fragrant wreaths made with a variety of local greenery.  Add a simple bow or some dried flowers to make it unique!

We’ll also have centerpieces and bundles of greenery perfect for decorating a mantel or some planters on your front step.

Amaryllis and paperwhite bulbs are are sprouted and ready to plant!   Every year, I enjoy offering the opportunity to bring your own pot or other container to pot up bulbs for Christmas.  I’ll have an assortment of amaryllis that will flower in the next 1-3 weeks as well as Ariel paperwhite bulbs.  I like this variety because it is less fagrant and tends to be a little shorter (though any paperwhite will stretch in low light conditions).  I also provide a couple types of preserved moss for you to finish your pots beautifully. It will cost $24 to pot up your first amaryllis, and additional ones will be $20 each.  If you would prefer to pot up paperwhites, the first 5 will be $15 and additional ones will be $2 each.

If you haven’t gotten amaryllis from me before, these are huge bulbs that will send up 3-4 stalks covered with massive flowers, blooming for weeks during the holiday season.  I have selected a large number of varieties with colors including traditional red and white of course, but also pinks, streaky reds, dark reds, and more!  At Nothing New, they’re available in paper wrapped pots with instructions, or potted in vintage containers or a beautiful winter themed pot.  You can order them on my website, or just swing by Nothing New to pick one out there!
Wrapped pots of paperwhite and ones in vintage containers are also available now at Nothing New

There’s room for a few more of you to reserve our spring bouquet subscription! This is a first for me–a special offering of 3 bouquets of our very best spring flowers.  March 19, April 2 (Easter week), and April 16 pickups of big (25+ stem!) bundles of premium blooms.  I’m limiting this to only a few shares so that these will be consistently fabulous.  Read all about it on the website!  I will provide a pretty card with all of the relevant info that you can keep or share with the recipient of this gift.  It’s perfect for someone special–like you!

Always stay curious! ~Margaret
