The ever-shifting beauty of the seasons is what I feel most privileged to share.

The cool nights are lengthening, and the flowers are fewer, more open faced, and more intensely colored.  I’m thrilled the patchy frost of last weekend spared most of them. Between what is blooming on my farm and what I can gather from friends who farm nearby, I expect to have flowers available through Thanksgiving.

For the next 3 weeks (through Nov. 21), I will drop flowers at Nothing New only on Friday.  If you would like a bouquet on another day, you can order one through this link  to pick up at Nothing New or at my farm.

As we enjoy the last flowers of fall, we are preparing for winter and next spring.

We (Beth and I) have been planting bulbs and corms for flowers both inside and out!  Anemones, ranunculus, and tulips for early spring outside and amaryllis and calla lilies for inside blooms in the darkest days of winter.  We’ll start the paperwhites next week!

These indoor blooming bulbs will be available at the shop (Nothing New) and–please mark your calendars–

at the farm on the first Saturday of December (Dec. 6).

On that date, we will be open with fresh, full wreaths with locally sourced cypress, magnolia, eucalyptus, and more.

You will also be able to pot up amaryllis and paperwhites into your own treasured pots, or into ones that I have available to you, customizing them with moss and other beautiful natural additions.

My hope is that I will be able to wish many of you a Merry Christmas in person!
